“We cannot protect something we do not love, we cannot love what we do not know, and we cannot know what we do not see. Or Hear. Or Sense.
— Richard Louv
We are passionate about the outdoors and we want to share that passion with you. The outdoor world, away from the traffic, concrete, and constant chime of our cell phones is a magical place that not only rejuvenates us, but provides us with challenges that will grow us in unexpected ways.
But this world of waterfalls, mountain tops, and underwater roadways is not without challenges. At Confident Camper Foundation, Inc., we want to ensure that you have the skills and tools to master those challenges.
We work with American Red Cross certified instructors to provide quality trainings related to lifeguarding, basic first aid, wilderness and remote first aid, and CPR/AED. These lifesaving courses will give you the skills you need to deal with emergencies both at home and on the trail.
Our American Canoe Association certified paddling instructor will teach you how to effectively and safely use a canoe, kayak, or stand up paddleboard. Additionally, the American Canoe Association Paddlesports Safety Facilitator (PSF) certification program teaches basic safety and paddling knowledge, as well as simple rescue skills for canoe, kayak, and SUP. This certification will give you the skills and confidence you need to take your group on a paddling adventure.
Finally, the Confident Camper Foundation draws on decades of outdoors experiences to teach basic outdoor skills such as camp cooking, fire safety, and wilderness hygiene. Whether you are new to the outdoors or grew up in a tent, we have something to share.
