Confident Camper Foundation will be running an American Red Cross Wilderness First Aid Certification Course December 3rd – 5th at Camp Anderson.
Designed for scouts and scout leaders, outdoor enthusiasts and anyone who works or spends time in remote environments, this course teaches advanced skills to be used in emergencies when help from professional first responders may be far away. Based on the Boy Scouts of America Wilderness First Aid Curriculum and Doctrine Guidelines, this course aligns with OSHA’s Best Practices for Workplace First Aid Training Programs.
Prerequisites for Wilderness First Aid training include:
- Students must possess a current CPR/AED certification
- Students must be at least 14 years old by the last day of class
Participants will camp overnight at Camp Anderson and should pack as if they were going on a 2 night backpacking trip.
The cost for this course is $85 for WFA only or $125 for both WFA and CPR/AED. Meals are not included.
Discounted registration for CCF Members will open on August 1st and run through August 31st. Members must be logged in to register during early registration.
Regular registration will open on September 1st and run until November 26 or when the course is full.
